What we store in your browser, why, and how to change your mind. Analytics only runs after you accept it.

Essential Storage

Site preferences: We keep your light or dark theme choice and your cookie decision in your browser's local storage so the site remembers them on your next visit. Nothing in this storage identifies you and it is never sent to us.
Form protection: Our enquiry and comment forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to block automated spam. Turnstile may set a short-lived cookie while it checks the request. This runs only on pages with a form and is needed for the form to work.
Privacy-friendly performance data: Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights measure page load times and visit counts without cookies or personal identifiers, so we can keep the site fast. They cannot follow you across other websites.

Analytics Cookies

Google Analytics: With your permission we use Google Analytics to understand which tours and articles people look at and how they found us. It sets cookies such as _ga and _ga_* that last up to two years and assign your browser a random identifier. IP addresses are anonymised.
Only after you accept: Google Analytics does not load until you choose Accept analytics in the cookie banner. If you choose Essential only, no analytics script or cookie is placed and the site works exactly the same.
What we do with it: We use aggregated reports to decide which itineraries to expand, which pages need clearer information and where visitors come from. We do not sell this data or use it for advertising.

Managing Your Choice

Change your mind any time: Use the Change cookie preferences button at the bottom of this page to clear your decision and see the banner again. Choosing Essential only stops analytics from loading on future page views.
Browser settings: You can also block or delete cookies and local storage through your browser settings. Blocking essential storage means the site will forget your theme and ask about cookies on each visit.
Third-party policies: Google, Vercel and Cloudflare process this data under their own privacy policies. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information you send us directly, such as enquiry forms.
