Working in the industry since 2018, Third Pole Adventures grew from a single guide into an operator covering the treks and destinations of Gilgit-Baltistan and Pakistan. We have hosted and guided travellers of every kind, from many countries, into the heart of the Karakoram and the Himalaya — offering the best experience we can and treating everyone we meet like family. Meet the founder
Fayaz Karim
Hey, This is Fayaz, Based in Skardu/Hunza. I never set out to start a travel company. What I wanted was more time in the mountains that raised me, and a way to show them to others that didn't flatten everything that makes them extraordinary. I'm a traveller first, and the founder of Third Pole Adventures. Long before either was a title, I was already wandering these valleys with a camera and little more than curiosity — through Hunza, Skardu, Chitral, the high passes of the Karakoram, and the villages where hospitality isn't a service but a way of life.
That's really the whole idea behind Third Pole Adventures. It was never built around me, it's built around and for the community: the hosts, guides, and families across the Karakoram, Hindukush, and Himalaya who open their homes and their trails to travellers willing to slow down. My job is to hold that door open, and to keep the experience honest, unpolished, and rooted in the people who actually call these mountains home.
